Description
“Edith and Neill von Gunten share stories of intercultural respect and solidarity from almost 50 years of peace and reconciliation work; from the Black-led civil rights struggles of the 1960s, to decades-old relationships with the Indigenous peoples of Manitoba’s Interlake. Drawing on the 7 “A Way of Life Teachings” of the Anishinaabe, the von Gunten’s invite the church to grapple with questions of racism and Christian supremacy in order to see that all peoples and cultures bear the Creator’s beauty and gifts, and that our reconciliation– even our salvation– is dependent on a living embrace of that truth.”
